The Obalon Balloon System helps with weight loss by filling the stomach so you eat less.

Who should consider the treatment?

You might be heavier than you’d like, or more than your doctor says is healthy. You may have found that dieting alone hasn’t been enough. You might just need a little help to reach your goals. Whoever you are, if you’re ready to push back from the table and take a stand, you should consider the Obalon Balloon System.

Physicians use your body mass index, or BMI, to assess whether your weight is healthy for an adult of your height. The Obalon Balloon System is recommended for people with a BMI of 30 – 40 who have failed to lose weight through diet and exercise.

How it Works.

The Obalon Balloon System includes a small capsule attached to a slender tube. You simply swallow the capsule, and follow it with a glass of water. No sedation is required. Gas is used to inflate the balloon, and the tube is removed. Once in place, the lightweight balloon resides in your stomach so you eat less. Three balloons should be placed to continue to facilitate weight loss over the 6-month treatment. At the end of this period, the balloons are removed in a short endoscopic procedure.
